I think we’ve talked about this before but as you may know, I’m a fair-weather Old Navy shopper. Sometimes an influencer will send me there, or I’ll go in the store and browse, usually while I’m shopping for my kid, etc. It’s not a store I go to by default, but I do feel like when I find something, I FIND something. This is true for these 5 things I found last week at Old Navy! Now I bought these on some promo, but it looks like most of these items still have some kind of discount. But if it doesn’t, by the time you read this, give it a few days. I know one thing is for sure: Old Navy isn’t shy with their promos.

Gauzy Cotton Skort Set

It’s tough buying for summer but I always thank myself when I do. The heat sneaks up on me and by mid-June I am reaching for anything cool. Sets like these are my favorites for many reasons, they’re soft, lightweight and non sheer. And I can break up either pieces to wear with other options.

These bottoms are actually a skort (the liner is shorts) and I like that as an alt for shorts this summer. The waist is elastic and overall these run loose / generous. I like the length of this size (the large) but fit wise a medium would be fine too. I’m in the large of the top and it runs a touch short so I’m glad I sized up!

This type of skirt / skort is one that I will toss on all summer long. I can wear it to the pool, I can toss on with a tee or a tank and everything looks pulled together and clean. Is it kinda boring? Yeah but very essential.

And both pieces are on sale for under $15 today! You can get this whole set for $24!

Wrap Skirt Swimsuit

I was so pleasantly surprised by this swimsuit! I have had some luck with Old Navy swimsuits in the past, so I knew I’d have a 50/50 chance of this being a success for me. I got the large and it’s long enough (check), covers everything (check) and it’s comfortable! Plus there is some boob support as well. (Shelf bra more than cups, I believe but I’ll take it.)

We are going to a water park at the end of May and I low key hate just standing around in my swimsuit without my bottom half being covered. It feels weird to me, like I’m just standing in public in my underwear. Nightmare fuel actually now that I think about it. So this swimsuit fixes that problem perfectly! And did I have a small middle aged crisis thought of ‘a skirted swim suit?! We there already girl?” but honestly this just looks like an activewear dress but in swimsuit form. It feels updated, not outdated.

I’m in the large and I like the fit!As a review, the torso in regular fit is long enough for me and not too tight anywhere on the suit.

Lace Trim Shorts

You know I’ve been on the hunt for a similar lace shirt like the Reformation ones (that I’ll probably end up buying after all is said and done). You know Anthro has some I’ve tried but this pair surprised me from old navy! They’re honestly a pretty darn good dupe.

They do, however, run VERY big. This is the large and I’m swimming in them. I have to be honest — I have no idea what size I am at Old Navy and it shows. Am I a medium? Maybe. Large? Sometimes. But in these shorts I’m a medium for sure. They’re very high rise / long, as well. My one issue with these — and it’s a big one — is the lace doesn’t continue in the back and it makes it look cheaper.

On a good note, the ivory is non-sheer which is nice! I think I’d exchange for the black in a medium, as the white feels a bit bridal for where I’m going this summer.

Drop Waist Swing Dress

I loved the shape of this dress, especially for summer. I gravitate towards looser fitting dress in the summer because a) I don’t want anything touching my body and b) they work well as swimsuit cover ups! You KNOW I love a double duty dress. So this dress has a loose fit overall, this is the large. It’s quite big in the back so I think I’d size down on this one. Stuck with your typical size, or if in between sizes go down a size.

This comes in lots of colors too! It’s a poplin fabric and quite sturdy. A really nice toss on dress for summer!
