This is probably the most millennial mom outfit I could wear and you know what? Hell yeah. I could be wrong but I think us millennials ladies have the white jeans industry cornered. I was thinking about it and I just don’t see a lot of the youths wearing them the way we do. They’re my crutch in the spring. I mean just look at me: white jeans + a cute top (from Madewell nonetheless) + a crossbody that I am using every ounce of energy to not drape across my chest. If this isn’t millennial building blocks, then my name isn’t Kendi.
I was on the hunt for a good pair of white jeans and my criteria is simple: non-sheer, stretchy, comfortable. That’s it. The silhouette or shape of them did not matter, I just wanted an everyday pair that didn’t show my underwear. I’ve tried quite a few this spring and lo and behold, J.Crew had them. This is the Slim-Wide silhouette and I love it. It’s not quite a straight leg, not quite a wide leg, so I yeah, I guess get why they named it that now. I am in the 30 and they run generously with lots of stretch! Size down if in between sizes, my friends.
I had this top in white but decided to swap for the blue and a size below. This top runs big so the medium fits me relaxed and loose, just like I like it. It’s a lightweight linen, so I just know this will carry me through summer this year. Find it here, under $100.
