March went by so quickly and I hate that. It felt like a blur! We had a big school event, started soccer, had spring break, you name it I feel like we did it this month! It was a rather warm month too so I was glad for the lighter things I rented for myself this month. But we will get to all of those in this post! Also, feel free to can your vote on if I should keep a few items from this round or not!
Pardon my selfies lately, our weekends have been busier around here with soccer season and school events. We typically shot content on the weekends now since B returned to office, so when the weekends fill up, my selfies show up. 🙂
If you are new here, I wanted to try out a clothing rental service and I chose Nuuly. Nuuly charges $98 once a month and you get to choose 6 items to wear all month long then you send the pieces back. You can check out the Nuuly website here.
Each month I calculate the cost per wear for each pieces in my nuuly box. Here are the numbers: each box is $98 for 6 pieces. (For consistency, I’m leaving out taxes here since it will differ for each state.) So if you take the $98 divided by the 6 items, it’s about $16.33 per item, if you wear each item one time. Every item’s cost of $16.33 will be divided by the frequency of wear. (i.e. Cost of item rental ÷ times piece was worn = rental price per wear). Just to go a step too far, I’ve also broken down each piece with a rating system and a review for each item below.
MY RATING SYSTEM:
â‘â‘â‘â‘â‘ = would consider buying full price / will miss it when it’s gone!
â‘â‘â‘â‘ = really liked it, would prefer to buy on sale
â‘â‘â‘ = on the fence, liked it but can’t see myself wearing that often / buy on sale only
â‘â‘ = liked but didn’t wear it at all or found it hard to style
①= didn’t like it / didn’t fit

Lioness Striped Tee | â‘â‘â‘â‘â‘
TIMES WORN OVER THE MONTH: 5
CONDITION: Excellent Used
COST PER WEAR: $3.27
I love this top and have been very curious about this tee since seeing it all over the internet. Well I’m happy to report it’s a yes for me. I love it! It’s soft, slouchy, easy to wear. Comes in a few different colors. Was very happy with this rental! Am I going to keep it? I’m not! I did love it but I’m happy to send it on its way. Had I rented this in say, the fall I’d probably had kept it. But with the changing of the seasons AKA it’s gonna be hot in no time, I just don’t need another long sleeve tee in my closet.
But if you do, then no judgement here! It’s on sale through today at Shopbop, too! Find it under $70 here.
FINAL VERDICT: RETURNED

Madewell Floral Blouse | â‘â‘â‘â‘â‘
TIMES WORN OVER THE MONTH: 5
CONDITION: Excellent Used
COST PER WEAR: $3.27
I love this top! This one got lots of wear around here last month. I’m not sure if I’m going to keep or let go. I’ve got two days to decide, so I’ll let ya know. I like that it’s a looser fit and it’s easy to toss on with jeans, so that’s pretty much how I wore it all month. That’s what I want most in a top — the ease of it all. I just want to toss a cute top on with jeans and it be complete. How very millennial of me.
I’m in the large, it runs a bit big overall. Find it from Madewell here.Â
FINAL VERDICT: TBD

Maeve Lace Shorts | â‘â‘â‘â‘â‘
TIMES WORN OVER THE MONTH: 4
CONDITION: Excellent Used
COST PER WEAR: $4.08
I really loved these shorts, too! I wore them a lot this past month as it’s been a warm one. They fit loose and they’re very comfortable, the length is spot on as well. I think my only issue is the color, as we move into spring I want a brighter color and I was finding the brown a bit tough to pair with some of my springier things. But overall the fit and everything was perfect. Would consider buying, but perhaps in another color!
I’m in the large, you can find them at Anthropologie.
FINAL VERDICT: TBD

Maeve Ruffle Denim Jacket| â‘â‘â‘â‘
TIMES WORN OVER THE MONTH: 3
CONDITION: New With Tags
COST PER WEAR: $4.08
This was a darling little denim jacket and I’m glad I rented it! It’s not a keeper for me, but it was a fun rental to have. We had some cool days and it was nice to grab to just toss on. It’s an oversized fit (this is the medium) and it’s a lighter weight denim overall. The ruffles are cute, but I did start to feel a bit 80s in this one. Cute rental, but a definite return.
Find the jacket at Anthropologie here!
FINAL VERDICT: RETURNED

Mother Wide Leg Jeans | â‘â‘
TIMES WORN OVER THE MONTH: 1
CONDITION: New with tags
COST PER WEAR: $16.33
These were the WIDEST leg jeans I’ve ever seen in my life. Like they’re kinda silly, if I can be honest. I hated them. I tried them on when I first got my nuuly box and didn’t love them, but gave them another shot with this outfit. It was the one and only time I wore them. They were too wide leg and I had to wear them with heels because they were so long. They were the opposite of flattering and overall I just couldn’t wait to take them off. I can not in good faith recommend this style from Mother, UNLESS you love the widest of wide legs, then in that case…have I got a pair of jeans for you.
They run small in the waist! Find them here.
FINAL VERDICT: GLADLY RETURNED
The last item was this pair of jeans from Madewell but they were too small. I accidentally ordered the 29, needed the 30 so while they were cute and new with tags, they went unworn. Wrong size, my mistake and it happens! But since we are calculating it all, this one comes in at a -$16.33 cost per wear.

March was a pretty good month, overall! Yes there were two pieces I didn’t really touch but that’s okay because I wore the other pieces really well. I’m trying to decide if April is going to get a rental this month? I’m not sure, but I’m sure I’ll end up renting again. As always, if you are interested you can sign up for Nuuly here. You get $30 off if you’re new! If you’re interested in more Nuuly posts, you can check out all of my rental posts here.Â
