Sometimes my favorite outfits are my most simple outfits. Sometimes being the key word here. Every once in a while a nice complicated layered ensemble really piques my interest. Lately though feeling pulled together with a few easy pieces is what’s hitting that dopamine for me. You wouldn’t know it by looking at it, but this outfit is giving me joy.
A plain white tee is giving you joy? You ask with concern.
But yes, yes it is. It’s merely a plain white tee to you, but this is the tee I will not stop proselytizing about. This is the ONE white tee that I’ve been searching for all of my adult life. I think it’s going to fix me and my problems. But also it fits perfectly relaxed and not oversized, the sleeve length is exactly where I want it to hit and it’s non-sheer. It washes out like a dream (no drying!) and always looks nice and crisp. I want to buy 100 of them so I will never be without them in my life. But I won’t because that’s ridiculous. But I might buy this one in black. And if Gap ever stops making it I will take it personally. Like I’m probably not going to do a thing about it but I will take it as a full attack.

This pair of trousers is from Anthropologie and I’ve actually had them a few years. I’m glad to see that Anthro is now taking their best sellers and keeping them in rotation year after year. These are the Avery wide leg trousers but I also love the Colette pants, too. (As you very well know because they make an appearance on my Nuuly rental each month.) This pair runs TTS, slightly more relaxed fit but overall the medium fits me well. I’m going to link the linen version here or the crepe fabric (that’s what Im wearing) here.
Side note — I am determined to make these black Sambas sneakers work for me. I bought them in the spring and realized they’re a fall shoe. I’ll admit, they are one of those pieces that I think ‘are these for me?’ every time I put them on. But I just keep going back to them. I love them so much I’m going to FORCE them to be for me. And if that’s not personal style, then I don’t know what is.
