I love this outfit. I know in the recent years my style has become more monochromatic and even more minimalist but I think I know why. I feel the most comfortable in simple pieces and outfits. When I start adding on too much, I feel it. I like a simple look that feels elevated and this is outfit fully encompasses that. You just can’t go wrong with a silk blouse and a pair of well fitting jeans.

I’m in the large of the blouse because I wanted it to fit loose. I hate a tight silk blouse, especially across the chest. It’s just not cute having the lines of distress across your chest area. So I sized up and this is the fit I wanted, which was a risk. Usually when tops are meant to be tailored, like this one, sizing up typically doesn’t give you more of a relaxed vibe, it just looks too big. But this one fits exactly how I wanted it to, still tailored because of the notched collar but relaxed because of the fit.

So all that to say if you want a tailored fit, stay TTS (it won’t be tight, just tailored) and if you want a looser relaxed look, go up one size like I did. Find it under $100 here!

I can’t say enough about this pair of jeans. I’ve had a couple of quince jeans but these are my favorites. I think that the quality is a little better too than the last pair I picked up. The denim is thicker but there is still a good amount of stretch. They remind me of Madewell denim, this pair. I am in the 30 because I find their denim to run fitted at the waist. These fit perfectly.

Find them for $50 here in a few different rinses.
