Hi friends! I am back with a WIWLW-ish and I have a few extras that carried over from last week. I’ve been in a bit of a rut lately with shopping and style. Feeling like season two Robby from The Pitt, but my life’s work is way more important, of course. I’ve been struggling to shop which is strange, I know. It’s my drug of choice after all. But I fill carts out of knowing I need some items then I abandon them for a few days, then the cache clears them and I forgot what I was even looking for. Is it me or is it just what’s in stores right now? Perhaps it’s me. It wouldn’t be the first time. So to be honest, I’ve been struggling to put together cohesive outfits that are fun and colorful and I’ve been leaning hard into my neutrals. I want to bring in some colors this spring and some, but I’ve got to buy those things first. I’ll get it together soon. Maybe I just need an old fashioned trip to the mall? Why does that seem so arduous now? Please tell me I’m not the only one.
We had a pretty normal week around here and boy, do I love a routine. A good routine is EVEYRTHING to me, this much I’ve realized in my 40s. Every time we go off of our typical weekly routine for whatever reason – Bryan’s traveling, spring break, someone’s sick or just too much stuff going on – I’m always so thankful for when the schedule resumes. I’m also very aware that summer is right around the corner where routine gets completely thrown out and replaced with 15 hours of direct sunlight and the small whispers of ‘I’m boredddddd.’ It makes me a touch nervous, the summer schedule. But let’s worry about that next month, shall we?
PS: I launched my pre-love shop for the month! Check it out if you haven’t, lots of good things I’m passing on to you!
Let’s get to the outfits!

Soccer Game
Wore this to a soccer game and loved it. I really like this skort from Spanx. (I’m in the large.) But I could probably do without the matching jacket. I struggle sometimes with a full matching set. Something about it makes me feel like I’m cosplaying a type A woman. I do like the jacket tossed over my shoulders, however. But overall the skort is where it’s at. Soft and the length is just right, for me.

Dinner Date
I got to have an impromptu afternoon happy hour last Saturday night with my husband. We ended up grabbing drinks on our favorite patio and then staying for dinner. It’s been warm and then not warm in a blink of an eye lately, but this afternoon was perfect. I like that this dress has a longer length overall. I didn’t once worry about the length, even on a windy day. I’m in the large, it fits true to size and is super flattering on a mid-size gal!

WFH
I do love these pants from Gap — such a good fit. And I like the linen blend, they don’t wrinkle as much as regular linen. I’m in the large, but could do a medium just didn’t want to sacrifice length. This is my favorite tee from Gap too! I’m in the medium.
I just got this bag and I love it. It’s probably the nicest quality bag I’ve gotten from Quince, ever. It holds everything and my 13″ laptop can fit, but about an inch hangs out as I carry it. No biggie but not a huge bag, in other words. Find it here!

Coffee Date
A Muffin sighting! When she isn’t napping, she’s usually my right hand feline. She’s loved the new closet, more places to climb and she can have better access to my silk items. Girl loves to dig her claws into some silk. Same, but in a different way.
I’m growing out my hair and so it’s kind of doing this flippy thing and I’m just letting it happen. It does give me flashbacks to 2001 when I had this exact cut, but trying to move past the triggers.
I’m in the large of the sweater but it runs big! (It’s a rental, if I would have purchased I would have gone with medium.) I’m in the large of the skirt and albeit stretchy it is a smaller fit across the board. It’s almost….too short for me? Probably, maybe… I don’t know but the tags are off so I’ve committed at this point. 🙂

Costco Run
I wore his to sneak in to Costco during the morning Executive Only hours, as I’m a mere Gold Star member. (peasant) But my mom is an elusive Executive Member and allowed me entry during the 9 am hour and let me tell you — it might be worth a membership upgrade. No one else was shopping, I felt like I had the warehouse to myself! Also
I’m a bit torn on the sizing of this tee. I almost feel like a medium would be better? But I’ve obviously already worn it…so maybe it’ll shrink in the wash? This is the large and it’s an oversized fit. I love it though — it’s linen and very breathable!
These are my favorite jeans right now! I’m in the 30, true to size. And under $100!
PS: my sandals are $20 right now! This is the camel color, it’s less ugly than shown online lol

Soccer Practice / Walk
This was one of those days I changed for a walk and then kept it on for soccer practice. Not every day is an outfit day you know? I love love love these shorts from Amazon. Some of my other spring shorts weren’t fitting so I just ordered some cheap ones that would fit and ended up loving them! I have them in a few colors now too. I’m in the large and they’re a generous fit and under $20!

Doctor Appt \ Coffee Shop
No notes on this outfit. Love this dress it’s so easy to wear. I tossed a sweater on top because most doctor’s office are freezing and I’m glad I did! PS: this dress is on major sale!

WFH
I wore this on Monday and wanted to wear it again the next day. It’s so soft and comfortable but it looks badass. It’s all I want to wear this spring and summer for sure. The shorts + shirt differs a touch in dye but I don’t really care, but you might! So I just wanted to make a note. Could be a one off but wanted to mention it. I’m in the medium of the top (runs big) and large of the shorts (TTS).

WFH
I”ll be honest this outfit was a toss on right before pickup, I think I was wearing pajama-adjacent clothes for the first half of the day. But who is counting?! These are the linen shorts from J.Crew that I highly, highly recommend. (I prefer these over the Quince ones! They run looser in the waist for me.) I’m in the medium here.
