Happy Saturday! Did you think I forgot about WIWLW-ish? I did not! I’m just a little late. So hopefully this is the last week of a blank wall and a clothing rack in this room because I’ve got a closet set up coming my way. Fingers crossed it works out and next week’s outfits won’t be in a midst of a mess. But…actually no promises. If I’m gonna be there, there’s probably gonna be some mess.

Friday | Happy hour
I love love love these pants.. Can’t recommend them enough, but they’re what I call a fancy pant. If I were in an office, these would be on my every week list. I’m not in an office, but I like to pretend sometimes 🙂 It was cooler last weekend and so I paired these with this sweater and we grabbed some drinks before dinner back home.

Saturday | Soccer Game
And this outfit is brought to you by, going for a walk and then never changing clothes! We had a soccer game this day and I typically wear something like this for the game. I had a sweatshirt on as well, as it was a bit cold. I definitely regretted the shorts, lol.
Saturday | Date Night in Dallas
So I couldn’t figure out what to wear because it was that time of month and I was bloated and ughhhh. You get it. So I defaulted to my favorite pair of stretchy jeans and an oversized blazer. And it worked! I felt pretty comfortable overall. And while this wasn’t the most fashionable outfit ever, I do love that I can go to my closet and pick my favorites and it can come together, even when I don’t feel cute. I’ve been working for so long to create an easy closet and I finally feel like it’s coming together. (I promise it doesn’t take 16 years and building a style blog to do it! ha!)
PS: we went to Sueno in Richardson, it’s so good! It’s small and they don’t take reservations but it’s amazing Mexican food. Worth every minute of wait!

Sunday | Dinner with Family
We had a busy weekend! But it gave me lots of excuses to get dressed and I reached for this pretty dress from my last try on. This dress comes in a brown and I was *so* close to getting the brown but the purple called me. It’s so springy, even if it’s not a color I wear that much. I paired this with the denim chore jacket, I just didn’t get a photo. 🙂

Monday | WFH
I’m giving these Spanx jeans a try again! I tried them on and they were just a little too tight at first, but once my period was over they fit MUCH better. They’re still real tight, don’t get me wrong and I’m still trying to figure out my sizing at Spanx. I’m kind of in between a medium and large. The large tend to be a bit loose and the mediums tend to be a bit too tight, so these are the mediums and you guessed it! A bit too tight at the waist. If I had to do it again, I’d probably size up on these but overall I love them. VERY flattering and the regular  length is perfect.
I’m in the large of the sweater but could use a medium! This one runs big!

No notes on this outfit — just your typical cute top + some jeans! I ended up swapping to flats for the rest of the day.

Wednesday 2.0 | Happy Hour with friend
Look! I showered and changed 🙂 Drinks with a friend and I wanted to give these shorts one more run before I sent them back to Nuuly. (I did send them back, by the way. I had thought I’d keep them but I ended up saying bye instead of buy!)

Thursday | Dinner + Drinks
I didn’t realize it but we have had a very social week! Grabbed drinks and dinner with friends and reached for this pair of pants again. I love them. I’m in the large, they run loose but I love this fit and this length. If you are in between sizes, go with your smaller size.

Love how you styled the J.Crew pants for both happy hour and Thursday’s dinner — proof that a great pair of trousers can carry a whole week! The tip about sizing down at Spanx is so helpful too. That purple smocked dress sounds dreamy for spring.
