Spoiler: I did not get dressed much. I thought for sure I got dressed and took more selfies but this is what my camera roll contained. And if I didn’t selfie it, it didn’t happen. Now as I think back on the blur that was the last two weeks…absolutely no other outfits come to mind. Did I even get dressed? Who’s to say? But I can confirm it was a fun two weeks off (even though we all got sick last week!) and I didn’t really want it to end. Today B is back at work, our girl is in school and I am back behind the screen my friends. The good news is this is the FIRST year that I haven’t felt complete burn out or exhaustion and I am ready to go this January! It could also be because this is the first time since 2021 that we have’t moved or traveled over the Christmas break. Turns out, two weeks off with your two favorite people can be really good for your soul.
So here are the 5 outfits I photographed over the last 18 days, lol. what does that even out to…getting dressed every third day? That sounds about right. š

Dinner + Christmas Lights
It was punishingly warm right around Christmas so I was trying to balance the seasonally appropriate sweaters I have lining my closet with the unseasonably warm atmosphere. This is what I came out with. We went to our favorite pasta place and then checked out the fabulous Christmas lights around us this evening. And if this doesn’t become a yearly tradition, I’ll be sad. Pasta + Christmas lights = 10/10.

Last Minute Errands / Shopping
I gotta be honest I hated this outfit. I didn’t feel cute wearing it and almost didn’t post it, but sometimes you just gotta content as a content creator. If you’re wondering, ‘um you have free will, why did you wear this?’ well we needed to run out the door ASAP and I just needed to toss something on. This is what got tossed on. It be like that sometimes, you know? It stated with my shoes — you see I wanted to wear my clogs, and I found these jeans on the floor so then I just tossed on the closest cardigan I could find. This is one of those times that the parts are greater than the sum. The hat was a Hail Mary. But the outfit got the job done, as we conquered our last minute shopping lists and played at the park. Oh and I’m just remembering how WARM it was this day! Absolutely none of this outfit made sense for the almost 80 degree day we had. (I mean Gemma was in a tank top!) But that’s on being rushed and not checking the weather app. Bloggers, they’re just like us.

Christmas Day
This selfie is from my Gap try on but this is what I wore all day on Christmas. From morning to night, this was the ‘fit. I really love this pair of pajamas from Gap, by the way. 10/10 recommend. They’re lightweight enough (I’m a hot sleeper) that I can actually sleep in them. Some may say thin, I say lightweight. I’m in the large and love the looser fit.
I already shared this photo below, but it’s a nice scene from our day!

Lunch + Shopping w/ Family
This was just as we were all starting to feel better and right before NYE. We were all a bit house worn and the cat needed litter, so we made a day of it. That’s one thing about us — we can make ANYTHING into an event. Oh we need wine and cat litter? Let’s grab lunch while we are out, too. And that’s just what we did. We also found a few record stores and we added to our record collection Ā (I got a record player for Christmas and now I’m obsessed with finding my favorite albums on vinyl.)

New Year’s Eve
B, gemma and I went to a fancy-ish (fancy for us anyways!) dinner and then grabbed some very delicious gelato before we were all in bed before 10 pm. A perfect NYE, in my opinion. I put my faux fur jacket on and should have grabbed a photo because it was fabulous. I paired my best black mini, some tights and this Quince turtleneck and honestly loved this outfit. I want to wear it again, just need a reason to!

The always fabulous, Gemma.

Date Night @ a Wine Bar
You’ll notice the only time I dressed up was for when we left the house. Otherwise, I can’t be certain I even wore pants. B and I took advantage of a kid-free afternoon and hit up a happy hour on a patio at a wine bar we just discovered! I wore this jacket because it was one of those kinda warm / kinda cool afternoons and this was the perfect weight. Highly recommend this jacket, it’s a really nice quality. Someone asked me if it was actual suede, too! (it’s not, but it’s super super soft faux suede.)
