As you know, I’ve been trying to add some color into my wardrobe this spring and in my head I have two options for color: Anthro or Zara. I chose Zara so I could get a few more things to try, budget wise. I did in fact find some color but surprise surprise my favorite items were the neutral pieces. Le sigh. What are we gonna do with me? 😉

I found six pieces that will work perfectly into our spring and summer wardrobes! I added in ‘how I’d style it’ inspo below each piece, too.

This is such a pretty midi dress, although I do wish it were a full maxi length. It’s a structured viscose, I believe with a lightweight, silky feeling fabric. Very night weight for spring. There is a pinched / darting situation right under the chest that pull sin at the waist, I really like that feature otherwise it would feel like a potato sack.  The sleeves are elastic with a slight puff sleeve I really like. It’s fully covered in the back as well. I’m in the large, fit is perfect for me.

The flats are Zara as well! I’ve been wanting a dark brown woven flat and I’m trying these out. I am afraid they’re going to rub the back of my ankles, but I’ll give them a wear this week and let you know.

I straight up bought the whole outfit from the model because I loved the top so much, even though it’s a bit of a swerve for me. I’m in the large and it’s a loose, relaxed fit I’d say it runs loose. It has a satiny feel and very vibrant. Reminds me of a shirt from J.Crew summer of 2011 (if you’re an original KE follower, do you remember that blouse?!). It’s giving me nostalgic vibes so maybe that’s why I’m drawn to it.

I’m in the large of the trousers and they’re quite fitted at the waist / hips. I do think they’re true to size, however I was on my period here so the bloat be bloating. I might wait until next week to try these on again in my normal state because I love the color, jury is out on the fit. I do think they’d look more modern if they fit a touch looser.

I love a white tee (probably too much) and I liked the bubble hem on this one. It IS more cropped so I’ll have ot wear it with high waisted pants only. But I like the fit, I’m in the large and the fabric is a thick, opaque cotton. It’s a nice twist on an essential tee.

I love this shape of top from Zara. This one fit true to size for me, I’m in the large and it’s not an oversized fit or cut. It’s a more grey color than shown here. It’s lightweight and endlessly versatile with shorts and skirts this summer One of my favorite buys!

I loved this little sweater! top1 It’s lightweight and just almost sheer, but opaque enough I didn’t feel like I needed something underneath. This top comes in a pink and orange too, I couldn’t decide which one so I went with the blue. I’m in the large and I like the oversized fit.

PS: these are my favorite summer sandals. I have them in brown from a  few summers ago and bought them again in this white for summer. Fit is slightly short.
