I promise I am trying real hard to stay in the present, to stay in summer but my heart wants want it wants and that is fall. Fall weather, fall activities, fall style. So I’m going to call these pieces from Quince pre-fall to justify this post and make me feel like I’m giving you a bridge to cross from summer into fall.
(But also I am SO over this heat. Let’s get to sweaters and layers already!)
I’ve rounded up 8 (9 if you count some shorts down there) that will work perfectly for right now and into fall / winter. Especially this pair of jeans you’re about to see — highly, highly recommend! Okay let’s get to it!
Bella Relaxed Jeans
First off I want to talk about these jeans! I have a few pairs of Quince jeans and this pair is by far my favorite. One thing I’ve noticed with Quince jeans is that they are most fitted at the waist, so I sized up to a 30 and they fit perfectly. I am typically a 29 in J.Crew / Madewell so use that for a reference.
I like how relaxed the leg shape is without being too wide leg and the length is spot on as well. They are high rise, just FYI. I would suggest a size up if the waist is usually where you find tightness.
PS: the jeans come in other rinses too. This is the distressed black.
Mongolian Cashmere Sweater Vest
So this sweater vest is on the warm side, so it may look misplaced in August in Texas. But if I were going to be outside for a long period of time, I would pass however I am an inisde gal 90% of the time, so it works for me. It’ll work even better this fall when the days are a bit cooler.
I am in the medium and it runs generously! It’s a looser fit overall. Super soft, not itchy one bit for me.
100% Silk Washable Midi Dress
I love all things silk from Quince and I wanted to give this dress a try. I am in the large, as I went with the same sizing as I do with their silk skirts. I don’t like silk to cling anywhere so sizing up was the right choice on this one! It’s a touch big at the chest, but the straps are adjustable and I have plenty of room in the waist / hips. If you are in between sizes, go up one size.
Such a nice versatile staple to have year round! I plan on wearing this with a leather jacket later this fall or an oversized blazer.
Linen Longline Vest
Linen is such a nice fabric to have through the fall here in Texas. I know we typically reach for it in spring / summer but it has a place in my fall uniform too. I am in the medium here and it fits perfectly– not too tight across the chest. It may run generous for those with smaller busts.

Silk Wide Leg Pants
Here is a bit of a swerve: a nice pair of silk pants. That sure enough do not look like pajamas, which was my fear. They have enough structure and the length is perfect for heels. I paired them with this silk blouse and while I love a matching set, I think that if the top was the exact same color, it would look too pajama adjacent The offset of the colors but coordinating fabrics work perfectly.
I am in the large of the pants, they run generous in the waist but I prefer this length for me.
Silk Notched Collar Blouse
LOVE this silk blouse! The quality is top notch and the fit is nice. It is supposed to be more of a tailored fit, but I sized up so it would fit more relaxed (I don’t like silk tops to be too tight across my chest.) And I love how the large fits.
If you want it to fit like on the model, stay TTS. If you want a more relaxed fit, go up one size.
Cotton Cashmere Ribbed Tank
This top is a stretchy ribbed knit top and is a lovely piece to have for a workplace staple. You could easily wear it alone, as seen here, or under a blazer. It’s a gorgeous top, under $50. It is more fitted so I am in the large and love the fit. I have a touch of wiggle room and lots of stretch. I’d say it’s true to size overall and the large is perfect for me.
PS: not sure if you’re looking for a tailored short right now, but this one is a nice option from Quince. I sized up and suggest you do as well. They run small overall. Find them here.
Mongolian Cashmere Sweater Tee
This sweater top is one I’ve had since the spring and highly recommend. It’s lightweight, non itchy and the fit is a nice tailored look that works well with trousers, denim, etc. It comes mainly in solids but I like this striped option.
After reading reviews, I went with a large and glad I did. It runs snug at the chest / arms.
